Os Negative

Hoje em dia a música europeia perdeu um pouco a relevância que teve nos 60, 70 e até 80. Actualmente, somos invadidos de tudo o que de bom (e principalmente de mau) vem das Américas. Para mim, normalmente o país de origem não tem qualquer influência sobre a qualidade musical de um artista ou de uma banda, no entanto dou por mim a fazer uma lista das bandas finlandesas que me despertam curiosidade.

Recentemente, descobri mais uma. Chamam-se Negative existem desde 1997 e são originários de Tampere, na Finlândia. 

Negative, banda finlandesa de glam rock fundada em 1997. Desde o início, a banda ganhou reputação por ser muito intensa ao vivo com melodias cativantes e riffs de guitarra. O som da banda pode ser comparado às primeiras bandas de glam rock como David Bowie e Queen. Tanto que afirmam ter influências de Guns N' Roses, Queen, e Hanoi Rocks. A banda classifica a sua música como um "rock'n roll emotivo". Nos últimos anos, os Negative tornaram-se numa das bandas mais populares da Finlândia, a nível internacional.

Cada vez que vejo um vídeo da banda, fico a pensar como o Jonne só me faz lembrar o vocalista dos Soul Asylum, o Dave Pirner, com a vantagem do Jonne ter menos 19 anos anos que o Dave!

Deixo a música que faz as minhas delícias por estes dias. Depois de ouvir isto, fico a pensar que, hoje em dia, ainda se conseguem fazer músicas eternas. :)
